One of the most frequent questions we are asked by customers is “what’s the difference between iPad models and what is best for my needs?”
To start let’s consider your ideal iPad.
Most iPad hard drive ranges from 16GB to 256GB, with some newer models having up to 1TB storage.
Do I need Cellular?
All iPad models come with in-built Wi-Fi. So the question you need to ask yourself, do I need Cellular? Cellular means having a SIM in the device and using 4/5G. If you are only using it around the home, you most likely only need a Wi-Fi model.
But if you are using it for business and travel, having a SIM would be handy. Or another option is to hotspot to your mobile.
Typically we ask you what you are going to use the iPad for. If you are using it for your kids with some games, you might like to consider a smaller size.
But as a general rule, smaller iPads (e.g. iPad mini) won’t be able to process large amounts of data the same as a larger iPad (e.g. iPad Pro)
Anyone looking to purchase an iPad can advise that iPads aren’t cheap. It all comes down to your budget. Try finding a line between your budget and the features you want.
Next let’s compare the different iPad models:
|Model||Screen display||Features||Colours available|
|iPad Mini||7.9 inch||Small & compact||Silver, Gold or Space Grey|
|iPad & |
|10.2 / 10.5 inch||Original iPad with upgraded processors||Silver, Gold or Space Grey|
|iPad Pro||11 inch|
|Geared for optimal performance||Silver, Gold or Space Grey|
Make sure you don’t rush into the purchase and do your research to ensure you find the right product for your needs.
